JOB MISSION
The Compensation Analyst supports the global compensation function and New Balance MADE and US retail organizational goals through the analysis and administration of compensation programs. Maintains and ensures consistent application and standards of compensation administration practices and competitive best practices. Ensures that company compensation programs are compliant with government regulations.
Role is required to be onsite three days a week starting in May.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develops, recommends, and administers compensation programs to meet the strategic needs of our MADE manufacturing and US retail organizations. Provides creative solutions to address the unique compensation challenges of a primarily hourly population.
Consults and advises HR regarding governance interpretation, market analysis, job evaluation, pay equity and other compensation initiatives.
Builds trusted partnerships with HR team members and internal customers with a service-oriented mindset.
Evaluates and grades jobs to maintain internal equity and external competitiveness. Upholds the integrity of the job structure.
Participates in market data surveys. Benchmarks jobs against survey data to determine competitive compensation range.
Keeps abreast of all current and pending minimum wage laws and completes regular minimum wage audits.
Conducts research, analyzes information and data, and presents findings in a clear, concise manner tailored to audience.
Assists in the development and delivery of compensation education for HR and business leaders.
Monitors existing compensation practices for trends and effectiveness and makes innovative recommendations for change.
Works independently, takes initiative and performs effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of compensation experience required.
Strong experience with compensation programs and practices in manufacturing or retail industries.
Pursuit of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
Previous Workday experience required.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail with large data sets. Ability to draw trends from data and propose creative solutions.
Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills including the ability to effectively translate data to varying audiences.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must be flexible in an ambiguous environment.
Must handle sensitive, confidential matters and situations with maturity and discretion.
Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to base and incentive pay programs.
Advanced Excel skills.
